Angus Salim is the Group Chief Sustainability Officer of RHB. He is responsible for ensuring sustainability initiatives are fully integrated across all business and functional areas, aligning with the Group’s long-term strategy and embedding sustainability as a core pillar of its vision.
Previously, he served as Head of Sustainable Finance, Group Wholesale Banking, where he led a team supporting the Group and its clients in their sustainability efforts. He played a key role in developing and executing business plans to grow the Group’s Sustainable Financial Services and focused economic sectors, demonstrating strong expertise and consistently delivering impactful results.
Angus has over 30 years of experience in financial markets and has held senior leadership roles in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and London. Since joining RHB in 2013, he has led the Financial Management Team and was appointed Group Treasurer in 2021.
He is a Chartered Fellow of the London Foundation for Banking and Finance (LFBF), a Fellow Chartered Banker of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI). He is also a Certified Expert in Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and a Certified Green Financing Adviser from the Asian Banking School (ABS).
