Peter is the Chief Representative of the UK-headquartered Energy Institute (EI) for the Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. The EI represents a growing and diverse community of energy professionals, supporting the sector’s transition towards a more sustainable future. Its mission is to attract, develop and equip the future energy workforce; inform decision-making through expert convening and evidence-based insight; and enable industry and consumers to make energy lower carbon, safer and more efficient.
Peter brings a distinguished background in the energy sector, with senior roles in upstream operations and energy finance at BP and Standard Chartered Bank. He is a committed advocate for a cleaner, more resilient energy system. In recent years, he has focused on advancing engineered carbon sequestration. He served as the regional representative for UK-based CCUS and hydrogen developer Storegga, before founding CarbonSync Technologies in late 2024 – a Singapore-based company dedicated to developing and managing consortia for low-carbon industrial hubs across Southeast Asia and beyond.
