Prayag Parikh is a Technical Leader at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). He works in the Monitoring and Advanced Data Analytics Program (Program 228) within EPRI’s Generation and Low Carbon Resources sector, focusing on applied analytics and diagnostics, data platforms and information management, and online monitoring and health data. He leads the successful development of the Continuous Online Monitoring Guidebook and the accompanying suite of Equipment Quick Guides. Parikh has also contributed to other EPRI programmes, delivering projects on sensors, developing failure mode effect analysis tables, supporting maintenance strategies, and exploring, testing, and developing electrical equipment monitoring technologies. Before joining EPRI, he served as a teaching and research assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), where his work centred on electromechanical system monitoring and diagnostics, power systems and smart grid technologies. He holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from UNCC and a Bachelor of Engineering from Nirma Institute of Technology (NIT), India.
