Dr. Jan Van Der Lee is CEO of the International Institute for Nuclear Energy, which supports education and training in nuclear energy development globally. His role involves international collaboration with major French stakeholders in industry, research, and government. Previously, he directed Nuclear Export Technologies for EDF, aligning technologies with customer needs and constraints. He also served as Vice President at EDF Inc. (USA), leading the Innovation Lab in California and directed the Materials Ageing Institute (MAI) in France. Prior to EDF, he was Professor in Environmental Chemistry and holds a Ph.D. in hydrogeochemistry applied to deep geological disposal of nuclear waste.
