Datuk Haji Julaihi Bin haji Narawi assumed the position of Minister of Utility and Telecommunication for Sarawak on 1 March 2022. He completed his education at Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang College, Miri, and later attended Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, where he obtained his B.A. Hons Degree in 1979.
With a career spanning decades, the State assemblyman was attached to various government departments before transitioning to the banking sector in 1983.
From 2011 to 2016, he served as the Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion) and Assistant Minister of Rural Development. Later, he took on the role of Assistant Minister of Coastal Roads from 2017 to 2019 and later as Assistant Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak. He also represents the constituency of N.27 Sebuyau as the State Assemblyman (ADUN) since 1991. Beyond his political engagements, Datuk Julaihi is the President of the Alumni Association of UKM Sarawak and serves as a board member of the Sarawak Multimedia Authority since 2021.
