Aidil Iman is an environmentalist with experiences in youth engagement, awareness building and other means of effective advocacy.
Aidil was a campaigner at MyHutan, a youth-led movement powered by Undi18 working on institutionalising forest conservation in Malaysia. Aidil then founded Kolektif Iklim, a youth environmental initiative aimed at strengthening the synergies between climate action and biodiversity protection in Malaysia. He was also a YSEALI Academic Fellow on Environmental Issues where he spent five weeks learning leadership skills and community engagement in Hawaii. Presently, he is a Climate Champions Consultant at UNICEF Malaysia.
Aidil is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International and Strategic Studies with Specialisation in Environmental Studies at the University of Malaya. His specific interests lie in youth participation in green politics, environmental diplomacy and climate justice.
