Ismail Said who hails from Miri, Sarawak is a seasoned oil and energy industry professional with over 30 years of experience under his belt, typically in Upstream Joint Ventures spanning from Human Capital Management to Strategy Planning.
He has served globally throughout different continents including Asia Pacific, Middle East & Europe; leading many industrial and non-industrial employment relationships with a keen interest in monitoring legislative and executive activities that can influence corporate policy. Ismail was assigned to the Premier of Sarawak’s Department in January 2019 with an initial secondment from Shell Malaysia to the State HR Unit (SHRU) before being appointed as CEO of the Sarawak Civil Service Leadership institute.
His extensive skill and experience have made him a sought-after moderator and facilitator, enabling high-level discourse on panels and roundtables including Sarawak Civil Service Townhall, International Energy Week as well as Razak School of Government (RSOG), Malaysia. Ismail has an LLB (Hons), MA in Industrial Relations and Executive Programme focused on Business Leadership from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
