KUCHING: Penubuhan Persatuan Perusahaan Photovoltaic Malaysia (MPIA) Bahagian Sarawak mampu mewujudkan ekosistem tenaga yang lebih mampan di negeri ini.
KUCHING (Sept 7): The Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA) launched its Sarawak chapter at the Sustainability & Renewable Energy Forum (SAREF) 3.0 organised by Sarawak Energy Bhd on Thursday.
Gentari in partnership with Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has launched its first EV charging station in Sarawak located at ICOM Square in Kuching. Equipped with a 180kW DC charger, this location is not only the fastest public EV charger in Kuching but also in Borneo.
Syarikat penyelesaian tenaga bersih, Gentari, melalui anak syarikatnya, Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, telah memperluaskan rangkaian cas kenderaan elektrik (EV) mereka ke Sarawak dalam kerjasama bersama Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB).
KUCHING, Sept 7: Clean energy solutions provider Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari) via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, has partnered with Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) to launch the first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Sarawak, which is located at iCom Square in Kuching.
KUCHING, Sept 7: Sarawak Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawi has emphasised that the implementation of the undersea cable project, aimed at exporting electricity from Sarawak to Singapore, is making good progress.
SAREF 2.0 was organised in partnership with UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) by integrating it within the GO ESG ASEAN 2021 Summit as a parallel session.
The forum featured insightful and purposeful dialogues about renewable energy sector’s role, building out for a sustainable shared energy future, and was covered by three panel sessions with discussions on:
Speakers included energy industry experts and leaders Datu Haji Sharbini Suhaili, Group CEO of Sarawak Energy; Ivan Tan, Chairman of Shell Malaysia; Wong Kim Yin, Group President and CEO of Sembcorp Industries; Ibrahim Ariffin, Director of Strategic Planning for Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia and Roger Gill, President of London-based International Hydropower Association.
Launched by the Premier of Sarawak, The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, the two-day forum attracted an audience of around 1,000 from 12 countries.
Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh also delivered a special keynote address in her capacity as a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Goodwill Ambassador then.
Topics of discussion included:
International speakers who participated in the forum included Faroze Nadar, Executive Director of United Nations Global Compact; Takafumi Kadono, Senior Energy Specialist of World Bank Group; Eddie Rich, London-based CEO of International Hydropower Association; Tom Szaky, US-based CEO of Terracycle; and Quan Nan, Chief Representative of ASEAN Global Energy Interconnection.
