Nicolas joined as Head of Hydropower Development for TotalEnergies Renewables in July 2022 to initiate the development of projects in this field new to this company, including the identification of opportunities and supervision of proposals.
He was previously appointed in August 2014 by Tractebel Vice-President for Hydropower & Renewable Energies – ASEAN. In this position, Nicolas was in charge of the business development, creation of a regional team and follow-up of projects initiated under his leadership. During this period, he also provided strategical advisory services to private developers for hydropower projects of various sizes.
He joined Coyne et Bellier in 2006, a leading company in the engineering and advisory services for dams & hydropower (now part of Tractebel, Engie Group) where he successively carried out assignments related to design activities, on-site construction supervision (resident engineer on 400 MW Bui HPP in Ghana) and Business Development.
After his first assignment in 1999 – 2001 as a resident engineer in charge of a rural desolation program in the Republic of Guinea, he joined the engineering and environmental consulting firm Antea Group as Project Manager in charge of the development of West Indies & Guiana.
Nicolas Werkoff holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Marseille and has more than 20 years of professional experience.
