Shah Yang Razalli is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Green Mobility Officer at Gentari, a PETRONAS subsidiary offering clean energy solutions through its Renewables, Hydrogen and Green Mobility verticals.
Shah has served PETRONAS for 25 years, starting as a Process & Operations Engineer with PETRONAS Ammonia Sdn Bhd in August 1998. He has since held various corporate portfolios within the Petrochemical Business Unit including business strategy, planning, and development.
He also served tenures in PETRONAS Australia Pty Ltd in Australia and Pacific Northwest LNG in Canada where he gained extensive international experience leading commercial, joint venture management and project integration functions.
He later headed the Downstream Digital unit, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Downstream, where he initiated innovation and digital transformation efforts that led to the introduction of SETEL and ROVR, PETRONAS’ first-ever incubated start-ups. From there, Shah moved on to lead innovation and agile transformation efforts at the PETRONAS Group-level, paving the way for several new growth verticals for PETRONAS.
In August 2021, Shah was appointed as PETRONAS’ Head of Corporate Strategic Planning. Shortly thereafter, he became Head of the Clean Energy Solutions Transition and was responsible for the creation and operationalisation of Gentari.
Shah is purpose-driven and passionate about growing the company in the current energy transition landscape.
Shah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He completed his INSEAD Management Development Programme in July 2010.
