Danutcha Catriona Singh

Managing Director SOLS Foundation

Danutcha Catriona Singh leads SOLS Foundation, a Malaysian non-profit focused on bridging the urban–rural gap and moving low socioeconomic status individuals into stable middle-class outcomes through education, employment, and clean energy access. Over the past 15 years, she has grown with the organisation -from volunteer teacher to Managing Director – helping expand its reach across underserved communities, especially Indigenous and low-income youth.

Under her leadership, SOLS Foundation has brought solar energy to over 3,941 off-grid homes and trained 800+ young people – many of them Indigenous youth – for careers in the green energy sector through the Solar Academy, a legacy workforce development programme. Her work lies at the intersection of climate justice and equity, and she is currently developing a long-term strategy to deepen SOLS Foundation’s efforts across Malaysia and Indonesia. Danutcha is the first Malaysian Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University and was named a Gen.T Leader of Tomorrow by Tatler Asia and one of Prestige Malaysia’s Women of Power in 2024.
