Lachlan is a career official with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and is Second Secretary (Political & Economic) at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
Lachlan leads Australia’s engagement with Malaysia on energy, climate change and environment issues, including on Partnerships for Infrastructure, Australia’s flagship infrastructure development initiative in Southeast Asia.
Prior to his posting to Malaysia, Lachlan worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra on multilateral climate negotiations and carbon markets.
