Pablo is the Deputy CEO of the International Hydropower Association (IHA). Leading the Regional Team, he strengthens the Central Office’s efforts to grow, develop and mobilise its network in key regions where members operate. As Deputy CEO, Pablo also supports the Board on governance matters.
Before joining IHA in 2020, Pablo served as Regional Director at the EITI International Secretariat, overseeing the Middle East and North Africa, governance and outreach. Prior to that, he worked at the Council on Ethics for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global.
Pablo holds a Master’s degree in War Studies from King’s College London and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Studies from the University of Barcelona. He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies and Anthropology from universities in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway.
In addition to his professional achievements, Pablo enjoys studying languages, diving and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is particularly interested in understanding the cultures of the Middle East.
