Wong Kim Yin has close to 30 years of leadership experience in the energy sector and in the field of investment management. He has been instrumental in leading Sembcorp’s transformation of its portfolio from brown to green.
He was the group chief executive officer of Singapore Power (SP Group) from 2012 to 2020. Prior to SP Group, he was lead of investment and project development for Temasek International and The AES Corporation.
Wong is the chairman of SkillsFuture Singapore and serves on the boards of the National Research Foundation, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and DSO National Laboratories. He is also a board member of China Venture Capital Fund Corporation and a Vice Chairman of the World Energy Council.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
