Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Dawood, the Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the power sector. He began his career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad Engineers Sdn. Bhd. And has worked for Malaysian and Australian national power utilities, independent power producers, and as a consultant for renewable energy.
Throughout his career, Dato’ Ir. Ts. Abdul Razib Dawood has held various significant roles, including construction engineer, project manager, technical advisor, systems planning engineer, and power system study specialist. He was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation by the Prime Minister’s Department from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Energy Commission and later assumed the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer in April 2019, utilising his wealth of experience and knowledge to drive progress and innovation in the energy sector.
He was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission effective 1 August 2019.
