Keiju Mitsuhashi

Energy Director for Southeast Asia and Pacific Asian Development Bank

Keiju Mitsuhashi is the Energy Director at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As Regional Energy Director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Keiju aims to develop a project pipeline worth over USD 10 billion in the region. His focus includes promoting regional power trade, such as the ASEAN Power Grid, clean energy transition, energy access, sector reforms and private sector development. He has extensive experience across the full spectrum of project financing, from power generation to transmission and distribution systems.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Keiju joined ADB in 2009 as an energy specialist in Central and West Asia, including a field assignment in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He later moved to the Strategy, Policy and Partnerships Department, leading corporate operations planning, innovation and establishing a trust fund for high-level technology. He also served as Deputy Country Director at the ADB Viet Nam Resident Mission in Ha Noi before assuming his current role.

A national of Japan, Keiju holds a doctorate from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
